The legacy of philosophical behaviourism: the concept of mind without minds
Soutor, Milan ; Kolman, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Hill, James (referee)
The epistemological problem of unity and its development in the philosophy of Bertrand Russell is the main subject of this essay. The first chapter is devoted to naïve realism developed by G. E. Moore and adopted by early Russell. I explain the notion of objective unity of proposition. The second chapter concerns Russell's departure from naïve realism and the multiple relation of judgment which Wittgenstein's criticism rendered as fatally unable to handle the problem of synthetic unity. The breakdown of this theory led Russell to naturalism, which is the topic of the last chapter. I pay special attention to the regressive argument proposed in slightly different versions by Moore, L. Wittgenstein and G. Ryle. Keywords realism, neutral monism, behaviorism, unity, consciousness

Aplication of behavioral psychology in marketing focusing price stimuli
Ptáčková, Marta ; Hofmannová, Jitka (advisor) ; Vranka, Marek (referee)
Price is a part of the marketing mix and plays an important role in decision making process of a consumer. The dissertation's main aim is to examine what lies behind shopping decisions. The text is divided in two parts. The first part summarizes findings of different authors on how the shopping decision is being made and how important emotions are to make a shopping decision. Since stories are not emotionally neutral, it also analyses the impact of storytelling on price people are willing to pay and if this price has an effect on perception of quality. The second part comprises the author's own research. Six in-depth interviews were conducted to put the previous findings into context and to gain a new perspective on the topic.

Behavioral economics - how anchor affects demand
PODHOROVÁ, Nikola
My bachelor thesis is focused on behavioral economics. Behavioral economics are based on psychology, sociology and economics. One chapter is dedicated to the psycho-logical direction - behaviorism. I'm interested in the topic: how to anchor affects demand. In my thesis examine the theory in practice, the goal of the experiment is to prove whether people, that they really let anchor to affect them. I called 120 respondents, whose were divided into two groups, each group had its own version of the questionnaire. Each version was equipped with different primary anchor, which causes groups have different results. Both questionnaires contained the same four questions. The data are processed in the STATISTICA program with using ANOVA. Type the questionnaire with which related primary anchor, influenced respondents offered prices. The first questionnaire had the primary anchor wedding ring and a the second one had massage. But it also happened, that some respondents did not offer anything. Naming a star for them are worthless. The issues that included questionnaires, had an impact on the decision-making level of education and the latter type of questionnaire. For other questions failed to demonstrate that they have influences on decision-making.
Selected Aspects of First Language Acquisition in Czech
KANTOŘÍKOVÁ, Lucie
Bachelor thesis deals with psycholinquistics and selected aspects of language acquisition by children. It approaches four basic theoretical tendencies in the trend of psycholinguistics. These are behaviorism theory, generative theory, context psycholinguistics and cognitive psycholinguistics. It summarizes actual knowledge in language acquisition by children and in forming and development of people´s basic communication skills since their birth. At the same time the thesis also mentions the usual development disorders ? aphasia, dyslexia, dysphasia. Separate section is formed by the pilot study of a particular language phenomenon which is acquisition of adjective passive by a group of children three to five years old. The study uses a form of dialogues together with prepared pictures referring to single sentences. The results of the study are rather ambiguous, very individual and they resemble some well-known theoretical sources.
